Join the Smart Museum of Art, Wrightwood 659, and Poetry Foundation for a special program connecting material art and poetry.

Material Poems at the Poetry Foundation is a drop-in creative writing and artmaking workshop in which participants will investigate how poems “materialize” through interaction with the physical world in the works of Jen Bervin, Cecilia Vicuña, Dianna Frid, Jody Gladding, and others. During the hands-on portion of the workshop participants will practice using uncommon materials to craft original poems.
